The three-day CBSE CLUSTER KABADDI GIRLS UNDER-19 competition was organised at Dron Public School, Sardhana .
CBSE physical education and sports organises a yearly inter school competition for all the clusters , Zonal , National level for the students of its school to encourage more students participation in sports and physical activity .
This competition of kabaddi is for cluster -XIX under 19 Girls (North Zone) . The Dronians felt the immense pleasure & proud in organising this kabaddi cluster event from 5thDecember to 7th December at our campus . A total of 37 teams (GIRLS KABADDI) participated for this championship . The main chief guest for opening ceremony was Mrs Alka Tomar an Arjun Awardee . We began this tournament with the opening ceremony on 5th december starting by tilak ceremony followed by lamp lightning then Flag Hoisting and March Past & Torch ceremony followed by an inspiring speech by our chief guest .
Mrs Alka Tomar is an Indian Wrestler Coached by Jabar Singh Som , she became the National Women Wrestling champion of India, and received the bronze medal in Wrestling (59 kg Freestyle) at the Doha Asian Games in 2006 . She also received a bronze at the Senior Wrestling Championships in Guangzhou in China 2006 .
She also won a Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in Delhi where she competed against Tonya Verbeek of Canada .
The competition was organised under direct supervision of our Managing Director Shri Sanjay Tyagi , Director Sir & Mam Mr. Ankit Tyagi & Mrs.Deepshikha Tyagi , Principal Mam Mrs. Rashmi Paul , along with sports supervisor Mr. Siyanand .
